Chegg Signed In Homepage

Chegg Signed In Homepage

This project involved the complete redesign of the Chegg signed in homepage. The primary goals for this page were to provide a personalized experience for students to access their study materials as well as drive engagement with other Chegg services.

In addition to these goals we also wanted provide a flexible framework that other teams at Chegg could build upon.

Defining goals and requirements

Unlike some other projects, this was a UX led initiative so one of the first tasks was to define the goals and requirements based on the business goals and past user research.

Design, test, iterate

In order to narrow in on the right design solution for users, we went through a series of UXR RITE tests to rapidly validate ideas with users and iterate.

Final design

Through multiple rounds of research we learned that having the 'My Suff' module on the left provided a strong anchor for the page that allowed users to easily access their content, while also drawing them down the page to explore other content from Chegg.

We also learned that having a tabbed search box prominently in the hero helped drive more search engagement and brought more awareness to the types of content available.

'My Stuff' component

The 'My Stuff' component was the primary component on the page and was designed to help students easily access their study materials on Chegg.

Flexible framework

We wanted this page to be a flexible framework that other teams could build upon, so we designed a set of modules that could be easily configured to support different content types
